Awaken the World with Daniel Schmidt

Awake 2 Oneness Radio with film producer Daniel J. Schmidt on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 7:00 PM EDT. The program was pre-recorded. Click here to listen to the show.

Daniel founded the non-profit Awaken the World Initiative in 2012 and Tanya Mahar joined the team in 2016. Together they produce films and manage the Samadhi Meditation Center in Canada.

Daniel and Tanya also engage in other projects that support the Awaken the World Initiative, which is in perfect alignment with the mission of Awake 2 Oneness. They believe that through the sharing of our own inner journeys, it is possible to inspire and support others on their own unique path. Recognizing that each one of us are Divine aspects of God/All That IS.

The Awaken the World Initiative was created for the purpose of humbly serving the awakening of humanity to their true nature. All of the films we produce and guided meditations are available at no cost and translated into as many different languages as possible, in order to ensure that the perennial teachings are freely available to all.

Their first award-winning documentary film series Inner Worlds, Outer Worlds took five years to complete, and since its release in 2012 has reached over 30 million people in over 30 languages. The second film Samadhi, their most recent series, and this film is enjoying the same widespread attention, and several other film projects are in the works.

The Samadhi Center The Samadhi Meditation Center, located in Ontario, Canada, was created in 2017 for the exploration of practices that lead to the recognition and integration of the true self. Everyone is welcome regardless of experience, background and belief system. The Center offers an intimate space in a beautiful, natural setting for both scheduled group retreats and personal retreats.

Practicing meditation alone may reduce suffering in one’s life, but without self inquiry may never lead to realization of the immanent self beyond name and form. And self inquiry on its own may bring a recognition of one’s true self, but if the habit patterns of the mind have not been cleaned and purified, then one usually loses the experience and falls back into conditioned behaviors.

Both the long path (traditional meditation and clearing of Sankaras or energy patterns) and the short path (realization of the ever-present I AM) are taught at the Center. They feel that integrating both approaches is an effective way to prepare the human vessel for experiential insights into our true nature.
